About
Sonkoy Mamani Bath is a German-Peruvian communication designer and multidisciplinary creative whose work moves fluidly between design, sound, and cultural research. Trained in Communication Design and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Multimedia, her practice is driven by a deep appreciation for color, detail, and visual storytelling rooted in identity, memory, and emotion.
Working across web and editorial design, branding, 3D, photography, and digital experiences, she develops thoughtful visual narratives that connect culture, aesthetics, and technology. Her portfolio spans diverse projects, from fashion campaigns along the coast of Bali and surf documentaries in Nazaré to custom typography, digital brand identities, and experimental visual concepts.
Alongside her design practice, she performs as DJ Amasonica, blending electronic music with Latin rhythms to create immersive, storytelling-driven sonic experiences.
Her current research explores the intersection of artificial intelligence and traditional plant knowledge from Peru. As part of her Master’s studies, she investigates how emerging technologies can engage with ancestral medicine and indigenous knowledge systems, opening new perspectives on design, cultural memory, and the preservation of collective heritage.
